Prestige Rules¶
Hey there! Did you know that once your player character (PC) reaches level 20 or higher, you have an alternative retirement option called Prestige. Using this system, you can trade in some of your hard-earned levels in exchange for prestige points (PP), which you can then use to purchase extra benefits for your PC. However, if your PC is below level 20, they won't be eligible for Prestige just yet.
If you do decide to Prestige your PC, you can return them to the start of any tier (which are levels 3, 5, 11, 17, and 23) and earn PP based on which tier you choose. This is a great way to get more benefits for your PC by trading in some of your hours. The PP you earn will be shown on your Tracking Sheet once you reach level 20. A character may prestige multiple times, each time returning to lower level and beginning their journey anew.
Just keep in mind that some items or abilities may be level-locked or tier-locked, meaning you can only benefit from them if your PC is at the appropriate level or tier.
So to explain what happens when you choose to Prestige your PC. It's a pretty big change, so it's important to understand what you get to keep. Here's the list of things you can hold on to:
- Memories
- Gold
- DTP (this includes learned tools and languages)
- Items (tier-locked)
- Boons (tier-locked)
- Artifacts (tier-locked)
- The effects of manuals you previously used (tier-locked)
- Any Prestige Points from previous Prestiges
How to prestige:¶
You will need to post a log in the #character-retirement-and-prestige-log channel. Then a staff will review the prestige log.
Players can later use a character respec to revise their PP allocations if they so choose.
Players can also use karma points to get prestige points!!
1 Karma point = 2 Prestige points
You can pick from any of the tabs except Others, Origins, and Racial Features (unless the character is already prestiged!)
P.S. You don't need to prestige to buy prestige stuff using the prestige points gained from karma points
The prestige shop has these limits per character:¶
- 3 ASI/Feat
- 3 Charms
- 1 Cult
- 1 Demonic Boon
- 1 Origin
- 1 Dark Gift
