D&D 5th Edition Westmarch Server (2014/5e)¶
How Things Work here?¶
Player Characters (PCs) live in The Starry Shore, an interplanar hub with the main street leading to many portals. Dungeon Masters create those portals leading to whatever worlds they dream up. PCs can visit those worlds via live sessions and/or text role play (TRP). PCs earn levels and gold via hours played in live or text sessions, and can level up beyond 20 by multiclassing, with no cap. Magic items are plentiful and most are easy to get.

What kind of D&D we play here?¶
Most of the games offered here are exciting one-shots, perfect for those who love spontaneous adventures. There are a few DMs that host campaigns, Typically, they like to play a few sessions with new players to see if there’s a good fit. If they like your gaming style, they might invite you to join a campaign. This server mainly focuses on these one-shot games, which make up the majority of our activities, allowing you to play on your own schedule.
We’re proud to say that our community only includes the coolest players. That said, we embrace diversity in play styles. Whether you’re someone who revels in rich storytelling and immersive roleplay, or a strategist who enjoys optimizing characters to their fullest potential, you’ll find a welcoming space here. Everyone is invited to bring their unique approach to the game.
Modes of Play:¶

Live Voice Sessions: You gain "hours played", gold, and items as rewards from playing. (We use "hours played" in place of experience for leveling up.) This is the main method of play. And these kind of sessions can be anything, from lighthearted and funny to dark and serious.

Text Roleplay: or TRP, there's 3 types of it:
- Live Trp sessions: same as live sessions, you play for a certain amount of hours but only trp, no vc needed!! rewards are the same hours and gold wise
- PBP/TRP in DMs worlds: This for casual trp, you can role play whenever you're free and the dm does the same, and you get some rewards out of it
- Trp for fun: This is the trp that happens inside the starry shore (crossroad category, VIP buildings) and it's just for fun, no rewards out of it
You must be 18 years of age or older to play on the server. Then follow the steps in 💬 #getting-started channel to make a character.
Member Responsibilities¶
- Have common sense, and follow the Server Code of Conduct.
- You must be 18 years of age or older to play on the server (This is both for social and legal reasons. Sorry, no exceptions.).
- PVP requires consent from both parties including the DM. Consent needs to be communicated, not just implied.
- Sexual themes are not allowed until consent from the whole party is given.
- Adult themes and language may appear. Our DM worlds' range from lighthearted and funny to dark and serious.
- You need an approved character in order to play (see 💬 getting-started channel).
- Players must track their characters (level, gold, items, etc) and keep this information updated in the player folder provided, as well as the relevant log channels.
- In a rules dispute between a DM and Player, the DM’s word goes until the session is over and the staff can mediate.

Open Door Policy¶
The staff team’s goal is to promote a safe and fun environment for all server members. You are invited to contact any staff through voice or private messages with questions or concerns as you see fit. You can submit your thoughts any time through the 💬 create-a-ticket channel, where the staff team will have access to it for review and response.
