Halloween Trinkets Table¶

1 | You find a ring, while wearing you can become faceless, your senses are not affected, but you don't have eyes, nose, ears or mouth. |
2 | Mini Jack-o-Lantern A handheld pumpkin has a curious face carved in it that changes to a different expression every minute. A magical light glowing inside of it that gives off 5 feet of dim light. |
3 | Plushie Spider A seemingly handmade crotchet doll that takes form of an adorable spider. Once a day it causes an itchy sensation on the skin of who ever is holding or carrying the spider on their person, as if something is crawling across them. When the sensation is realized, the toy spider will appear on the ground within 5ft. |
4 | Haunted Bell An eerie sounding bell that rings on its own every 10 mins. Has a chance to ruin stealth. |
5 | Skeleton Puppet A tiny skeleton, held together with string. At night, it will come to life, with 1 hp and 1 ac. |
6 | Braindrain Candy Bucket A plastic bucket in the shape of a zombie's head. When the user reaches inside, they can pull out 2d10 pieces of candy. This can be done once an hour but the candy has no nutritional value... and some of it is candy corn. |
7 | Spooktacular Spirit A tiny ghost that follows you around. On the day of Halloween it suddenly disperses from view, only to jump scare the owner at every given opportunity. |
8 | Glasses of Ghoulsight A strange pair of goggles/glasses that purpotedly reveal the true identities of everyone around you! Upon wearing the Glasses of Ghoulshight, the wearer will now see everyone else in random Halloween costumes. |
9 | E.N.C. (Emperor's New Costume) A magical costume that can form to whatever mystical idea you can conjure! A costume that will make the wearer believe they have taken the form of whatever they've conjured or ask for. For everyone else, they will see a poorly made costume on the wearer instead. |
10 | Headless Cloak A cape with the collar notably tattered and torn at the ends. When the wearer equips the Headless Cloak, their head automatically becomes invisible. Until they take off the Headless Cloak, they have advantage on Charisma (Deception) checks when pretending to be dead. |
11 | Tricky Treats Strange candies. Eating it gives a harmless effect. Demonic horns grow from your head. If you already have demonic horns, they grow even longer, OR you might sprout a second pair. |
12 | Tricky Treats Strange candies. Eating it gives a harmless effect. You sprout a thin devil like tail. |
13 | Tricky Treats Strange candies. Eating it gives a harmless effect. Your skin turns a curious red tinge. |
14 | Tricky Treats Strange candies. Eating it gives a harmless effect. Your voice comes out in infernal occasionally. Other creatures still understand you as if you spoke your original language. |
15 | Tricky Treats Strange candies. Eating it gives a harmless effect. . Your eyes gloss over in inky blackness. |
16 | Tricky Treats Strange candies. Eating it gives a harmless effect. The flesh appears to fade away from your face, leaving just an exposed skull below. |
17 | Tricky Treats Strange candies. Eating it gives a harmless effect. Bat like wings sprout and give you the appearance of hovering an inch off the ground. You cannot cross gaps or waterways with this effect. |
18 | Spooky Horn A bone horn with curious gibberish runes carved on it, not linked to any language, that when blown makes cartoon like ghost "Wooooo" noises. |
19 | A small fit in hand skull that give directions in a very loud, boisterous voice, and when heading wrong it insults the owner. |
20 | A bag that feels like it's full of candy on the outside, but reaching into the void of the inside, it's only healthy food like a baggy of apple slices or baked veggie chips. |
21 | A set of fake vampire teeth that, once put on, can actually drain blood from someone. |
22 | A cardboard box that, if you wear it and write on it what you want to be, will make an illusion of you wearing/being it. Unfortunately, people can easily see through the illusion with a DC 8 Intelligence (Investigation) check. |
23 | Cursed Diary A diary that writes back when you write in it (dm's reply could be cryptic advice or lead the writer astray). |
24 | A ring with a large jewel on it. if you lick the jewel, it will change your skin tone to that color. The flavor changes depending on the color. The color randomly changes with each lick. The effect lasts for 10 minutes. roll 1d10 to determine the color: - 1: red, flavor: cherry - 2: orange, flavor: orange - 3: yellow, flavor: lemon - 4: green, flavor: mint - 5: blue, flavor: bubblegum - 6: indigo, flavor: blueberry - 7: violet, flavor: strawberry milk - 8: white, flavor: milk - 9: brown, flavor: chocolate - 10: black, flavor: black tea |
25 | A set of a cat ears headband and cat tail that, when worn, react to your emotions and move. |
26 | Mimic Bag A bag that is similar to a bag of devouring, but only holds as much as a normal bag would. And when you put you hand into it simply gives you the creepy feeling like teeth are grazing against your skin. |
27 | Broken Pocket Watch A curious little pocket watch that's clock hands spin around in circles in it aimlessly, Holding it on your person gives you the faint feel like your being watched. |
28 | Obsidian Crow A curious crow like hand made toy that looks to be made out of obsidian but has moving parts like a toy. Curiously every hour it just makes an audible crow's call that can be heard by creatures with 100 feet of it. |
29 | Vampiric Mirror A mirror that no matter who looks into it, you can never see a reflection of a person staring back. |
30 | Vial with a an eyeball floating in clear liquid. The eyeball always looks toward the person within 30ft who has the most candy. |
31 | Miniature humanoid skeleton 6” tall. Upon command, does a tap dance (1/day, recharges at dusk). |
32 | Garter that when placed on an arm or leg allows that limb to be harmlessly severed at that point and be separated from the body by 5ft and re-attached. |
33 | Spider brooch that upon command can spin a silk costume (1/day recharges at dusk, costume lasts 24 hours then evaporates). |
34 | A piece of paper that appears to have an obituary of whoever is holding it (not visible to anyone else). The obituary is underwhelming bordering on insulting. |
35 | Ring that causes you to cast extra shadows that don’t correspond to actual light sources and whose movement doesn’t quite match your own. |
36 | Edible item that temporarily covers you in fur/feathers/scales/bare skin (roll d3 among the options that are not normal for you). |
37 | Pumpkin cookie that temporarily turns your head into a jack-o-lantern. |
38 | Hand bell that sounds like a distant church bell. |
39 | White candle that when lit drips red wax that looks like blood. |
40 | String instrument that always plays in a minor key no matter how you tune it. |
41 | Fortune telling bones that always predict doom. |
42 | A small enamel pin that can be put on your collar. Every 1d4 hours, the pin will produce ghostly whispers around you that say "Unsolicited Advice". |
43 | A small box that when closed sounds like something is scratching to get out. |
44 | A small 4-inch-tall skeleton that when music plays it dances to it. |
45 | All Hallows' Eve Lunchbox A plastic lunchbox with phosphorescent Halloween Stickers that looks rather dented. Upon opening this lunchbox, it will release black and orange and purple confetti, glitter, and streamers. Directly at the face of whoever opens it. The glitter will be especially annoying to get off on one's person. |
46 | Will O' Wisp Lantern A candle lantern painted black and orange and outfitted with tinted orange glass. There seems to be something etched into the glass. Upon placing a lit candle into this lantern, the lantern will emit light with an orange tint as little ghosts and pumpkins float about the user. The ghosts and pumpkins merely float about and making 'boo!' sounds now and then and will disappear when the candle is blown out or burns down. |
47 | A jack-o-lantern mask that glows in the dark. Flavor: You can scare away children and animals with your spooky face. Mechanic: You have advantage on Intimidation checks against creatures with an Intelligence of 4 or lower. |
48 | A candy corn necklace that tastes sweet when you lick it. Flavor: You always have a snack handy when you are hungry. Mechanic: You can use an action to eat one candy corn and regain 1 hit point. |
49 | A black cat plushie that purrs when you squeeze it. Flavor: You have a cute and cuddly companion that comforts you. Mechanic: You have advantage on saving throws against fear effects. |
50 | A witch's hat that changes color depending on your mood. Flavor: You can express your emotions without saying a word. Mechanic: You can use a bonus action to change the color of the hat to any color you want. |
51 | A zombie hand that crawls on its own when you drop it. Flavor: You can freak out people with your severed hand. Mechanic: You can use an action to drop the hand and command it to move up to 20 feet and interact with an object. The hand has AC 10, 1 hit point, and immunity to poison and psychic damage. |
52 | A magnifying glass, but when you look through it everything appears to be covered in fine runes that are indecipherable but upsetting. |
53 | Spooky Horn A bone horn with curious gibberish runes carved on it, not linked to any language. When the user blows into the horn, it will make cartoonish 'WooOOoooOOoooo' noises instead of the usual blares one would expect a horn would make. |
54 | The unopened letter to you from your dying father. |
55 | A pocket watch that runs backward for an hour every midnight. |
56 | A spyglass that always shows the world suffering a terrible storm. |

61 | A stone figure of a snake that changes positions after every full moon. |
62 | A puppet in the likeness of someone you distantly know, that echoes your movements when you (and only you) place it on the ground. |
63 | A mask that copies its wearer's facial expressions. |
64 | A crown made out of ice that never melts. |
65 | A stone carved to look like a head that occasionally speaks, asking questions that the owner of it didn't want to ask. |
66 | A compass that points towards the nearest recently killed corpse. |
67 | A wooden cane that, when placed on the ground, stands perfectly straight, and cannot be tipped over. |
68 | A small orb with water and a small undead jellyfish inside. |
69 | Nice. A silver ring that were forged by a fairy godmother for a star-crossed couple. The rings have the right part of a heart-shaped ruby embedded in it, and they glow when the other ring that have the left part of the heart is nearby. The rings also allow the wearers to sense each other’s emotions and thoughts, creating a strong bond between them. You can link it to one or multiple people who have the other part of the ring. |
70 | The head of a mummy, and it's still alive, and it always insults you in a language you don't understand, but to you it sounds like compliments. |
71 | A magically shrunken goblin in a tiny cage. And if he got freed from his cage, he immediately dies and he can't be brought back to life. |
72 | A cloak that always on fire, but it doesn't burn. Also, it doesn't do any damage to the surroundings. |
73 | A small mirror in which your reflection remains, crying hideously whenever you look at it. |
74 | A book that gives you a headache whenever you try to read it. You are still unsure of what knowledge or story it holds. |
75 | An undead mosquito that follows you around and continuously buzzing when you go to sleep, and every time you kill it, it duplicates. But it stops when you wake up. |
76 | A doll of a black dragon with red jewels as eyes, whenever someone looks at the doll eyes their eyes flash red as if it's alive. |
77 | A floating thought bubble that tells people your worst intentions, but for the owner it shows friendly thoughts. |
78 | A child's severed hand, still fresh, and it always follows you.. |
79 | A deformed human infant's skull that is always filled with the best wine. |
80 | A Teddy Bear that when it gets thrown on the ground it transforms into a huge undead lava bear (DC10 to find its an illusion). The illusion disappears when the teddy bear gets picked up again. |
81 | Tricky Treats Strange candies. Eating it gives a harmless effect. When you eat it, it makes you laugh in the most inappropriate times. |
82 | A book that details a list of embarrassing childhood moments and sometimes it reads itself out loud! and if you try to get rid of it, it reappears again. |
83 | A plague doctor mask, that makes the wearer sounds like a Wendigo. |
84 | A harmless worm that will start crawling under your skin when you pick it up. Sometimes it helps to close your wounds giving you +1 on death saving throws. (this doesn't stack) |
85 | A porcelain doll that steals 1 gp every night when you go to sleep. If you don't sleep, the doll add 1 gp every night. |
86 | A ring that makes the wearer unable to cry or smile. |
87 | a belt that makes you look like in a skeleton onesie that covers everything even your face. |
88 | A mysterious shroud of death with the silent screams of the dead faces on it. |
89 | A wand/staff made of a kobold spine. (it can be upgraded to a magical one) |
90 | A potion that turns your hair into harmless snakes. |
91 | A pumpkin pie that always reappears when you eat it. |
92 | An owl feather quill that makes the holder always talk in the third person. |
93 | A blunt that produces a smoke that looks like a ghost that follows you. |
94 | A spring-loaded dagger that retracts into its hilt when stabbed, creating the illusion of a fatal wound. The dagger can be activated by a hidden switch or a command word. |
95 | An invisibility cloak that only the wearer thinks it's working, and gives them disadvantage on Insight to find out that it's not working. |
